Press release
May 2026
Hajster has abandoned BAS and migrated to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The migration project was carried out by the Alternative Union of Business Automation Providers (AUBAP) and MSBC, a company specializing in the implementation of package solutions developed by Innoware on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Hajster is an innovative startup of the Sahara company, which was founded in 2000 and became one of the first businesses to offer advanced European and global energy-efficient technologies based on renewable energy sources for the Ukrainian market. Today, the company has 23 years of experience in the design and installation of climate systems, and all this potential has been invested in the development of the innovative Ukrainian heat pump Hajster.
Organizational prerequisites
The use of the dangerous and functionally limited and accounting system of russian origin, BAS Accounting CORP, as well as the desire to avoid any association with the aggressor country, prompted Hajster’s management to search for a modern, reliable and innovative international solution capable of providing necessary functionality for a manufacturing company, deep analytics of business processes, transparent financial and personnel accounting, as well as payroll calculation “in one click”.
Selection of the solution and implementation partner
Hajster’s management took a highly responsible approach to selecting a new solution, analyzing and testing a significant number of accounting systems from various vendors. A mandatory requirement for the software was the availability of Ukrainian localization, including not only accounting and tax reporting, but also compliance with legislation in personnel accounting and payroll calculation.
Based on the results of a detailed analysis, Hajster’s management selected ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the most flexible and modern solution that fully meets the business requirements of the enterprise and enables operations within a unified Microsoft ecosystem.
Unfortunately, Hajster’s first cooperation experience with one of the Dynamics 365 Business Central providers was unsuccessful. However, the company did not give up or lose confidence in the chosen system, but reached out to Innoware – a certified Microsoft partner, whose team executes projects using its own methodology, developed based on more than 25 years of local and international experience in implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and CRM solutions, and has a portfolio of over 500 successfully delivered projects.
Drawing on this experience, Innoware specialists developed pre-configured package solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: “IW Finance+”, “IW Trade” and “IW HR&Payroll”, fully adapted to the needs of domestic small and medium-sized businesses and enabling operations in compliance with Ukrainian tax and accounting regulations.
As a result, Hajster’s management selected package/preconfigured solutions “IW Trade” and “IW HR&Payroll”, but defined the following requirements for the implementation process:
- “Minimum modifications”. Implementation of package solutions strictly in their standard
- Active involvement of the internal team in all stages of implementation, including requirements gathering and system configuration, as well as ensuring further system support.
- The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at Hajster was intended to be a pilot project with the subsequent implementation of the ERP solution in Sahara.
Implementation approach
Considering the requirements of the Hajster team, the implementation project was structured as follows: Innoware acted as the key expert in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the provider of package solutions “IW Trade” and “IW HR&Payroll”, as well as the Ukrainian localization of the ERP system – IW Localization. AUBAP provided training services and was responsible for methodological support for the project, while the MSBC team directly carried out the implementation project. The project manager on the Hajster side was the Chief Accountant, Oleksandra Moiseenko, who ensured the practical execution of project activities based on recommendations provided by Innoware and AUBAP specialists.
Implemented functionality:
IW Trade
- Fixed assets
- Procurement
- Sales
- Currency accounting
- VAT accounting
- Complex production management
– Production orders
– Specifications and Routes
– Production capacities
IW HR & Payroll
- Personnel accounting
- Timesheet accounting
- Payroll calculation
The active phase of the “IW Trade” and “IW HR & Payroll” implementation project lasted 12 months. Today, 4 users work in the system.
Payroll calculation is carried out “in one click” for 20 Hajster employees.
Project results
Continuous communication between all teams involved in the project, persistence, high qualification and responsibility of the project manager on the Hajster side, as well as processes transparency and methodological implementation support, made it possible to successfully implement the new system into the customer company’s business processes.
Currently, cooperation between the companies continues: AUBAP provides Hajster with system support services, while MSBC assists with subcontracting activities.
Hajster has expanded its internal implementation team and has planned the implementation of warehouse bin functionality and service management as part of further system improvement for 2026.
“Given the previous negative experience of working with one of Microsoft’s partners, it was critically important for me, as the specialist responsible for the project on the customer side, to have direct communication with a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central consultant during the implementation process, rather than waiting several days for answers to my questions from chatbots.
AUBAP and MSBC specialists were constantly in touch with me, providing both technical guidance and the psychological support I needed during the system learning phase. Thanks to their active involvement and genuine interest in the project’s success, the implementation process became manageable and transparent.
I would also like to point out that since Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has an audit trail, accounting approaches are different. Working with the system requires additional knowledge and readiness to properly correct performed operations when necessary.
In my opinion, the success of an implementation directly depends on the support provided by the implementation partner and the willingness of the internal team to embrace new knowledge and approaches. I can confidently say that without proper guidance and involvement from the accounting team of the customer company, the implementation of such a project would be impossible,” shared Oleksandra Moiseenko, Chief Accountant at Hajster, commenting on the completed project.
“During implementation, it is important to consider the «psychological trap», when users at the customer side perceive Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as a complete analogue of 1C/BAS and expect the same working principles to remain unchanged. As a result, they try to replicate familiar approaches, encounter difficulties and quickly become disappointed.
In fact, the key factor of successful implementation is understanding the philosophy of the new system. The logic of the system and its functional advantages become clear to users only after the customer team acquires the necessary knowledge and skills to work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Therefore, from our perspective, an important component of the project is not only technical support but also working with the customer team – helping with adaptation, rethinking previous experience and changing working approaches.
A separate role in the implementation of package solutions “IW Finance+”, “IW Trade” and “IW HR&Payroll” is played by the readiness of the customer’s key users, in particular accountants, to take responsibility for the project results: to master and adopt working in the new system. Initial training makes it possible to assess the customer team’s readiness for change: if at this stage future users understand that they are not ready to work in accordance with international accounting standards, it is better to identify this in advance before the system implementation begins. After all, the successful execution of such projects directly depends on the availability of time, motivation and involvement in the implementation of the customer team,” said Dmytro Anokhin, Technical Director at Alternative Union of Business Automation Providers.
