Microsoft updates Online Services pricing under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) volume licensing program
October 2025
Microsoft announced an update to its Online Services pricing model under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) volume licensing program. This means that discounts previously available under the EA will no longer apply when purchasing new services or upon renewal of the next agreement after November 1, 2025.
This update is part of Microsoft’s broader efforts to simplify licensing and aims to standardize pricing of all the company’s cloud solutions, providing greater transparency and consistency for customers.
What are Online Services?
Online Services are Microsoft’s cloud solutions, which include:
Security solutions: Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune services.
*The pricing for on-premises solutions remains unchanged.
As discounts for all EA levels (from A to D) will be removed after November 1, 2025, organizations will face increased costs. For many companies significantly affected by these pricing changes, it may be advisable to consider alternative licensing models.
One such alternative is CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) – a more flexible model that allows customers to receive an individual approach and optimize costs. With CSP, you pay only for the services you use, without any upfront financial commitments. This approach helps to effectively manage expenses and can provide significant savings, especially for organizations with changing business needs.
