Credits are virtual funds that businesses can use to pay for advanced technologies from Microsoft. Credits can be spent on building and scaling cloud infrastructure, servers for storing large amounts of data, integrating artificial intelligence into their products and testing developments before entering international markets.
Credits from Microsoft will help Ukrainian startups optimize their operating costs for software and invest the saved funds in the development of their own products.
“Ukraine has exceptional engineering talent and a strong culture of innovation. Through Microsoft for Startups, we help early-stage founders move faster using enterprise-grade tools such as GitHub, Microsoft 365 and direct access to Azure OpenAI Service. This enables startups to build and operate at professional scale while embedding strong security, compliance, privacy, and data protection from day one”, said Eugene Kahanovskiy, General Manager for Microsoft in Ukraine and the Baltic countries.
The program targets startups at the pre-seed to Series A stages that meet the following criteria:
develop their own IT product, which forms the core of their business;
are private, for-profit companies and do not belong to the consulting business, government institutions or companies operating in crypto mining;
have not raised Series C or later-stage investments;
the total amount of Azure credits previously received does not exceed $350,000.
