Microsoft Corporation has stopped renewing licences to russian companies

“Microsoft Corporation has stopped renewing licences to russian companies since September 30. This means that russian clients of the corporation will not be able to restore their existing subscriptions to corporate services like Microsoft 365″  the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said.

The news is also being actively discussed in russian media with reference to the technical support of Microsoft OnlineServices. 

In August, Microsoft’s technical support service informed corporate clients from russia that it “will no longer be able to accept payments by bank transfer to a local bank account as a method of payment for Microsoft services in russia”. Also, Microsoft reminded that the corporation is following the sanctions regime against the Russian Federation, and sales of all Microsoft products and services in russia have been suspended due to the full-scale invasion since March 2022.  

Earlier, Microsoft President Brad Smith, officially promised to reduce business in russia “until there is nothing left of it”.
