Innoware signed the Veteran-Friendly Business Principles

April 2025

In today’s world, a new standard is being formed among responsible business leaders: supporting veterans is becoming not just a socially important initiative, but part of a strategic approach to sustainable company development. That is why Ukrainian business leaders are joining forces to support veterans and their loved ones.

On April 23, an event organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC Ukraine) was held at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, at which Innoware became one of the companies that signed the Veteran-Friendly Business Principles.

The document was developed with the expert support of Veteran Hub in cooperation with Forbes Ukraine and with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. It contains 11 key provisions aimed at creating an inclusive and favorable environment for veterans in the business sphere. The Veteran-Friendly Business Principles are an initiative that sets standards for supporting veterans and their loved ones in all areas of a company’s operation: in the workplace, in products and services, in procurement, communications, and in community engagement.

The number of companies joining the initiative continues to grow and now includes over 60 large Ukrainian companies. Together, they provide over 400,000 jobs and employ over 25,000 veterans.

The participating companies will continue to hold regular meetings at the top management level to share the best practices, jointly find the best solutions, and advocate for change. Among the first priorities are: developing communications that help inform veterans about employment and support opportunities; a national culture of sensitive interaction and respect for veterans and their families; adapting and developing inclusive workplaces and logistics; attention to the needs and opportunities in regions and small towns.

“I am convinced that it is the private sector of the economy in partnership with public organizations and state institutions that can become the engine of profound social transformations and new values. I am also proud of our colleagues who serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and hope that Ukrainian society will be able to provide veterans with decent opportunities for employment and development, and our entire country will develop a culture of gratitude, dignity and respect for the defenders of Ukraine and their families,” commented Dmytro Popinako, CEO Innoware.
