Orbico Ukraine entered the Ukrainian market in 2016 and is part of Orbico Group – a large international group that unites 18 companies in 24 European countries. Orbico Group is a leading distributor for many globally known brands and offers comprehensive business solutions in sales, logistics services, marketing and brand management across a wide range of industries and business sectors.
Organizational prerequisites
Due to rapid growth, Orbico Ukraine faced certain limitations of the existing ERP system, which no longer met modern business requirements, had become technologically outdated and lacked the necessary functionality to support the effective operations of a fast-growing company.
Orbico Ukraine needed an updated, modern solution that could provide comprehensive management of business processes within the Group, guarantee a high level of security, offer localization in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and easily adapt to the specifics of the company’s business operations.
Solution
Over the past few years, Orbico Group has been using ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as a corporate solution that enables the unification of all business processes across the large international group. Previously, the company had been using the earlier version of the system – Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The current solution fully meets the Group’s requirements, which include:
- compliance with both international standards and the legal requirements of an individual country;
- the ability to simultaneously maintain financial, tax, and managerial accounting;
- availability of tools for analytics, resource management, and business in general;
- seamless integration with other products within the Microsoft ecosystem as well as third-party programs (such as banking systems, warehouse solutions, etc.);
- an optimal balance between cost and quality.
Considering the successful experience of using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the system’s compliance with the requirements above, the management of Orbico Group decided to implement this ERP solution at Orbico Ukraine.

Implementation approach
The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at Orbico Ukraine began with an internal audit and a detailed analysis of the company’s business processes carried out by Innoware specialists. Special attention was given to identifying the Client’s needs, goals, requirements and expectations regarding the project. First, the key processes and operations were identified and implemented in the localized ERP system environment. After that, custom functionality was agreed and developed according to the Client’s needs. Additionally, data was prepared for migration from the old system to the new one.
The final stage of the project involved training and testing of the system by the Client’s end users.
Thanks to the coordinated work of the implementation team from Orbico Ukraine, the active support and strong interest in the project from Orbico Group specialists, the involvement of the global partner company IT.integro and the high level of expertise provided by Innoware specialists, the implementation project of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at Orbico Ukraine was completed within 6 months. The successful and rapid implementation of the project was also facilitated by constant and effective communication between all teams involved in the project, transparency of processes and methodological support at all stages of implementation.
Result
As a result of the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Orbico Ukraine received a modern, reliable, and comprehensive ERP system that is unified across the Group and configured in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian tax and financial legislation.
Thanks to the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Orbico Ukraine received:
- transparency of financial operations, automated online reporting, and analytics for making informed management decisions;
- efficient warehouse and procurement management, accelerated inventory processes, integration with the 3PL provider’s warehouse program;
- improved convenience for the finance department through building all processes based on financial accounting data;
- logical and user-friendly interface with a role center that saves time and minimizes the possibility of human errors when working with the system.
Currently, Innoware continues cooperation with Orbico Ukraine, providing support services for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
